How to Sell on Poshmark in 2026: Fees, Shipping, Getting Paid

Short answer: Listing on Poshmark is free. When something sells, Poshmark keeps $2.95 on sales under $15 or 20% on sales of $15 or more, and emails you a prepaid label for packages up to 5 lbs. Ship within 7 days, and your money is released when the buyer accepts the order or 3 days after delivery. If the same item is listed anywhere else, take those copies down the moment it sells.

What selling on Poshmark costs

These are Poshmark's U.S. fees as of October 2026:

Example: you sell a pair of boots for $50. The 20% fee is $10, so you keep $40. A $12 top costs you the flat $2.95, so you keep $9.05. Poshmark's flat fee makes very cheap items hard to profit on, so bundle small things together or price them at $15 or more when the market supports it.

In Canada the fee is C$3.95 under C$20 and 20% on C$20 or more.

Step 1: Take photos that sell

• Use daylight or a bright room and a plain background.
• Make the cover photo the whole item, then add close-ups of the brand tag, size tag, fabric label and any flaws.
• For clothing, show it laid flat or on a hanger, and add measurements (chest, length, inseam) in the photos or description.

Step 2: Write a title and description buyers search for

• Title: brand + item + size + one key detail, such as "Levi's 501 Jeans, 32x30, Medium Wash." Poshmark is mostly fashion, shoes, accessories and home goods, so brand and size matter most.
• Description: condition in plain words, measurements, material, and every flaw. Honest descriptions mean fewer return cases.
• Category, brand, size and condition: fill them all in so the listing shows up in Poshmark's filters.
• No outside links or contact info. Keep the whole sale inside Poshmark.

Step 3: Price for offers

Poshmark buyers make a lot of offers, so start a little above the lowest price you'd accept. Check sold listings for the same brand and style to see what buyers actually paid, and remember the 20% fee comes out of the final price, not your asking price.

Step 4: Ship within 7 days

1. Poshmark emails your prepaid, pre-addressed label as a PDF. No printer? Show the shipping QR code at any USPS location and they'll print it.
2. Use your own box or mailer or free USPS Ground Advantage supplies. Don't use USPS Priority Mail packaging: USPS charges a $5 fee for it, taken from your balance.
3. Weigh the packed item. Over 5 lbs, upgrade the label in the order before you ship.
4. Drop it in a mailbox or at the Post Office, or schedule a free USPS pickup.

Use Poshmark's label, not your own. Poshmark says it can't reimburse packages lost in transit if you don't.

Step 5: Get paid

After delivery, the buyer has 3 days to accept the order or open a return case for problems like undisclosed damage or an item that isn't as described. If they accept, or 3 days pass with no case, the money moves to your Redeemable balance. From there you can cash out by:

• Direct deposit: free, typically 2 to 3 business days.
• Instant Transfer: for a fee, to an eligible Visa or Mastercard debit card, usually within 30 minutes.
• PayPal or Venmo: for a fee.
• Check: mailed to you.

Step 6: List it on more than one site

Poshmark reaches fashion shoppers nationwide. The same jacket or pair of shoes can also sell on eBay or Mercari, or locally on Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp. Listing it in more places gets more buyers to see it. The risk is selling one item twice, so remove every other copy the moment it sells.
